March of Life

A few years ago, I began a project on a novella title March of Life. The story itself encompassed a mysterious alien trek around the Earth that seemed to continue in at an endless pace. These masked and shrouded cyborgs silently roamed in a massive display, with no set destination in sight. They're arrival is a mystery, as well as their purpose. A desperate newspaper reporter quickly finds himself thrust into the entourage after he is chased by local militia extremists (Sudan) across the desert. It is a story of survival, awe, and the trials of life through the lens of the human and inhuman.

The above image depicts Osiris (center) and their fellow alien visitors (left); the colors depict stages in the march, which are metaphorical stages of life. Osiris' blue lenses are unique, and part of the grand mystery. To the right, the main character and the truck of his guide are depicted as they gaze upon the march atop a dune, alongside the usual crowd that gathers to watch.
